Summer School on High Performance and Disruptive Computing in Remote Sensing 2023

29 May - 1 June, 2023

Abstract

The 3rd edition of the Summer School on High Performance and Disruptive Computing in Remote Sensing took place from 29 May to 1 June 2023, in Reykjavik, Iceland. Participants learned how to use high-performance and specialized computing technologies to tackle large-scale and complex EO applications.

The third edition of the summer school of the High-Performance and Disruptive Computing in Remote Sensing (HDCRS) Working Group took place from 29 May to 1 June 2023, in Reykjavik, Iceland. HDCRS is part of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS), in particular of the Earth Science Informatics (ESI) Technical Committee.

This school serves as an ideal platform for networking with students, young professionals, and renowned senior researchers and professors leading the world in the field of remote sensing. These experts conduct interdisciplinary research involving high-performance computing, cloud computing, quantum computing, and parallel programming models, all utilizing specialized hardware technologies
